INFANT SOUL

INFANT SOUL

You are an Infant Soul. Being relatively new to the journey of reincarnation, you have a cosmic urge to experience, learn and evolve. You have a certain enthusiasm for life that many do not possess. At this point, you are learning to adapt in the human form with a main focus on choices to do with moment-by-moment physical existence and survival. During this stage you are still close to the original state of oneness with all that is and may struggle dealing with the burden of separateness undertaken when born into the physical form causing feelings of loneliness.

Infant souls prefer to live in environments where the culture and technology are very primitive, such as tribal life in the jungle. Hence, they do not often incarnate in advanced societies, finding modern civilization and lifestyles too complex. If living within a modern society, they tend to live on the fringes and might come to be regarded as anti-social, psychopaths, or to have some sort of developmental disorder. They often end up in prison or psychiatric units. Infant souls tend to act on impulse with little or no thought for consequences or sense of wrongdoing.

BABY SOUL

BABY SOUL

You are a Baby Soul. Your main focus is on participating in a social structure that provides order, security and a sense of belonging, where beliefs and actions are largely rule-bound. Life is strictly divided between what is right and wrong. You desire to live in communities that are highly principled and civilized. Baby souls are characterized by being ultra-conservative, traditionalist, orthodox, upright, moralistic, religiously devout, and mindful of law and order. A deep sense of shame and guilt is felt if you ever do break the rules.

This stage emphasizes self-control, restraint and compliance, taming one’s personal, short-term impulses for the benefit of long-term stability and security. There is a sense of playing a meaningful role, doing something of value, and belonging to something that is bigger than oneself. Life in society is a system of give and take, and here the emphasis is on learning to give, thereby supporting the greater good. If the facts appear to challenge a baby soul's beliefs, the facts must be wrong since the belief system is always “right.”

Baby Souls are not so comfortable in the big city with all its complexities, ambiguous rules and sinful temptations, they prefer their own ethnic kind within small, quiet towns where they fit in, not stand out.

YOUNG SOUL

YOUNG SOUL

You are a Young Soul. Life at this stage is about thinking for oneself and asserting oneself as an individual. Young souls are more ego-driven than others, characterized by being ambitious, materialistic and highly driven. They are keen to make their mark in the world and attracted to some form of worldly success, such as fame, fortune, power and glory. It is typical to compare oneself to others, evaluating self-worth in terms of “my” achievements relative to “their” achievements. Young Souls are drawn to materialistic cities like Hong Kong and Los Angeles where they can compete and prove themselves.

Young Souls tend to be extravert, frenetically energetic, brash, competitive and political. They cling to their own opinions, with a certainty that their own perspective is the right perspective, and their way is by far the best way. What young souls do not quite recognize as of yet, is that all perspectives are equally valid. They believe that by pushing their own agenda, they can determine what happens in the world. They are self-determined agents of change.

MATURE SOUL

MATURE SOUL

You are a Mature Soul. Mature souls tend to question everything, including their own motives, and are prone to do a lot of soul-searching. They are geared towards stepping out of the ego-self and embracing other perspectives, cultures and other parts of their own being. The lives of mature souls focus on exploring the true nature of self, the essence of their soul and discovering how to live inter-dependently within society. Mature souls have a focus on being empathetic, sensitive, cooperative and authentic. They recognize that other perspectives are equally valid, but not necessarily correct, which causes them to search for a deeper truth that will ultimately lead them back to oneness.

Life for a mature soul is no longer simply a matter of what happens out there in the world, but also taking the inward journey to discover where we do we come from and what is the meaning of life. Mature souls seek understanding, spirituality and creating “right relationships.” They tend to be overly self-critical at times as they search the interconnectedness with all that is and may struggle with basic emotional issues. Mature souls are likely to bond for life in a positive, loving, intimate partnership. At this stage of one’s reincarnation, it is time for soul-mates to come together and help each other work through their issues and karma.

Because life is now all about optimizing one’s relationships with anything and everything, mature souls can find life to be intensely complex and stressful, filled with emotional turmoil, sometimes overwhelmingly so. Inner conflict is very common. Hence, there is often a need to find time and space for self reflection, counseling, or perhaps an artistic outlet, to confront the confusion and negativity within oneself. Mature souls tend to gravitate to liberal, multicultural places like London and San Francisco, though they prefer the relative tranquility of the suburbs, rather than the push and shove of the big city life.

OLD SOUL

OLD SOUL

You are an Old Soul. Old souls tend to have a deep understanding of life and wisdom, which can be most striking in young children. Old souls have a growing sense of inner peace and freedom. They are relatively calm, unattached to social structures and cultural expectations, being sure of their own existence and inner strengths. On the other hand, finding themselves in a world that is so conflicted, chaotic, and superficial can be utterly depressing. For old souls, the aim of life is to find true self-expression and fulfillment. As such, they tend to go their own unique way in life, letting go and letting be, in a detached way that may seem very weird and eccentric to younger souls. Old souls find themselves consciously participating in the evolution of all that is, and often focus on teaching spiritual wisdom with great passion.

In this stage of soul evolution, there is a search for balance, completion, and an urge to pass on the lessons learnt, showing others the way. Having a well-developed sense of independence, as well as co-existing cooperatively within society, now the soul feels drawn to reconnect with the greater order of things and the underlying cosmic unity. Old souls have come to terms with all of life’s dualities (self and other, love and hate, joy and pain, etc.) seeing them as an integral part of the whole. In fact, the main lesson for old souls has to do with finding unity within diversity. Old souls recognize the validity of each being’s chosen path in life within the broader scheme of things, understanding no path is wrong. Knowing we are all part of the ONE, and yet we are many, each pursuing our own journey.

In this final cycle on the Earth plane, the soul develops a more holistic perception of self, life and the existence of all that is. The issue now is how to relate to this united reality through one’s own being… how to be at peace with all of the conflicts of the world… and how to experience universal harmony within all of the diversity. In the end, joy is found in simply BEing as opposed to DOing.

Many of the world’s great spiritual teachers were/are Old Souls: Buddha, Jesus, Dalai Lama, and so on. Advanced Old Souls have certain characteristics as spiritual teachers that stand out from the rest such as… far-reaching wisdom, great compassion, inner peace, and little or no attachment to material things. The end of reincarnation, also known as “ascension” or “enlightenment” refers to the completion of a soul’s journey to become a unique individual, like a distinctive star in the night sky, a fully realized Self.
