What part of Greater Richmond should you live in?

You belong in The Fan District! You enjoy living close by to restaurants, shops and nightlife but also like the residential feel of the neighborhood. You would probably be the happiest living in an historic row house or an apartment from the turn of the century.

You belong in Downtown Richmond/Shockoe Bottom! You like being in the middle of all of the action and the busy city life doesn't bother you. You don't need a lot of space so an updated loft apartment or condo is probably the best housing option for you. You enjoy being able to walk to places easily and don't mind dealing with traffic.

You belong in Ashland! Ashland is located 15 miles north of Richmond in neighboring Hanover County. It has a little bit of a country feel and you may not have the best cell phone signal out here or shopping options but if you love not having any neighbors this is the place for you.

You belong in Short Pump! You care about living in an area with great schools and safe neighborhoods. You also like the convenience factor of the many nearby restaurants and stores. The distance from the city is great for you because you don't want to be right in the action but like that you can get there in 20 minutes.

You belong in Midlothian! You love spending time with your family and a safe neighborhood and good schools are extremely important to you. You prefer to be living outside of the city but still close to shopping and restaurants. The suburban feel of Midlothian is perfect for your lifestyle.

You belong in Goochland! You prefer being as far away from the city as you can get. You don't care if your internet/cell phone service is spotty as long as you have no neighbors in sight and tons of land. You probably don't care if you miss out on going out on the weekends because you love the country feel Goochland County has to offer. Lucky for you, if you ever DO want to travel to the city you aren't incredibly far!

You belong living in the River Road Corridor! You love nice things and aren't afraid to admit it. Your dream house is probably a historic mansion within close proximity to the James River. You like being able to get downtown easily but are more comfortable in an upscale, residential neighborhood. If you live here you must be okay with driving to restaurants and stores.

You belong in the Museum District! This area is convenient to many different places because of easy interstate access. It is filled with historic homes and is close to bars and restaurants. It is a very walkable neighborhood as well so you can spend your free time in Carytown, at the art museum or at the park.
