Interview With Joe May

Hey guys!

My inspiration almost always comes from observing real life. I spend a few days out of the week people-watching, and I hang on to body language and phrases that stand out to me. Then I go down a rabbit hole of "if this is true, then what else?" I also wander into thrift stores and sift through clothing items and ask myself "who would wear this?"

If I can go through an entire day as a character knowing exactly what choices they would make, I know they are fleshed out enough to post. A solid point of view is top of my priority list!

No mother can choose between her babies! 
But in all seriousness, if a character isn't feeling right or isn't enjoyable to play, I throw it out. At the end of the day, if I'm having fun I know that other people will too!

Jacob isn't based on anyone in particular, more so a mashup of a lot of classmates I had growing up. What they all had in common were those small innocent moments of discomfort, and observing those made it clear who I wanted Jacob to be.

My life goal is to positively effect as many people as I can. When someone has had a stressful day or is just feeling down, I'd like to be that little break they take from reality to just laugh. Even if it's just a little smile from a 6 second video, I feel like I did my job.

Tons of new characters! Anyone from a shady mechanic to a punk kid. I'm having a lot of fun creating these new characters for you guys. You'll also see some familiar characters embarking on new adventures!
