Here are DOs to keep in mind when planning your wedding for that perfect special day!
1.Practice walking around in your shoes before the big day
Even the comfiest of shoes can end up giving you blisters. So wear them around the house a few times to fully break them in and ensure that you can dance the night away, pain-free, on your wedding day!
2. Choose a hair & make-up style that is similar to your daily look
You want your fiance to see YOU on this special day. Elegant and light is more vibrant for a bride and you'll be happier looking back at pictures.
3. Be upfront and clear with all of your vendors
Make sure to let all of your vendors know what you do want and don't want at your wedding. Tell the DJ specific songs to avoid and specific songs to play. Let the photographer know specific moments you want to capture. This way, everything will be as you envisioned it!
4. Remember to send thank you cards
Even though you'll be busy with honeymoon and your newly wed life, remember to send thank you notes to all your guests and the people who made this day special (i.e. your officiant and wedding planner). Your thoughtful words will be much appreciated!
5. Get a videographer
You might think "I'll never watch it" - but trust us, after a few years you'll want to relive all those beautiful moments and hear those heartwarming speeches. You'll want to show your kids how magical of a day it was - and a video will capture all the best moments!

9. Stop to take it all in & enjoy your big day
Don't fixate too much on whether or not all your guests are having fun. The day is here and it's done - so remember to take a step back, admire all your hard work, and savor the moment!

10. Don't forget to eat throughout the day
It can be easy to neglect your appetite with all the excitement and commotion going on. But, it's extremely important to at least nibble on food throughout the day. A few glasses of champagne on an empty stomach can be detrimental!

You want your reception to feel more like a party than a presentation; so don't be afraid to limit your speakers to no more than 5 minutes. Everyone will thank you for it!

Fortunately enough, it's easy to accommodate with prior planning. It's important to make sure that all your guests are happy and able to happily dine with the rest of the party.

Not only will it be hard for them to hear anything else, but you'll most likely be hearing a lot of complaints from them as well.
16. *For destination weddings* Don't forget to remind your guests to apply for a passport
As well as make sure your passport and others will not be expiring near the date of the wedding.
17. Don't feel pressured to stick with traditional wedding customs
If you're not the type to want to wear a big white dress or throw the bouquet of flowers - you don't have to. This is your big day, you get to make all the decisions!
18. Don't sweat the small stuff
Perhaps prepare yourself for some things to go wrong - but it's not the end of the world and you might even be the only one to notice. Enjoy your day in spite of whatever didn't go as planned!
