Number 16

At number 16 I have The Toronto Maple Leafs. After many years of rebuilding I think the Maple Leafs have built up their team to be a possible threat in the future but they will be one of the worst teams in the conference

2

Number 15

The New Jersey Devils haven't been a good team for the past few years now. They've been trying to make the playoffs for the past 3 years but have failed simply because the don't have goal the scoring ability, what they do have however is an elite goaltender in Cory Schneider and that is why I have the New Jersey Devils at number 15

3

Number 14

Ever since winning the Stanley Cup in 2011 the Boston Bruins have been a big threat in the NHL for a while, but a few moves made by GM Don Sweeney trading away Milan Lucic and Dougie Hamilton may be a possible sign that they are rebuilding and considering the fact that most of their top players are over the age of 28 rebuilding would be a smart move for the Boston Bruins

4

Number 13

After acquiring goaltender Eddie Lack from the Vancouver Canucks I think the Carolina Hurricanes will be a better team than last year but will still be lower in the standings due to all the teams fighting for a playoff spot

5

Number 12

What do you get when you take a great veteran netminder, a legendary goal scorer and a bunch of great young players and put them all on team? The Florida Panthers, also another team with great young forwards but the one thing they have that the other teams don't, Jaromir Jagr. Its great what the Panthers are doing by having all the young players learn from one of the all time greatest, Plus Roberto Luongo taking care of the cage.

6

Number 11

At number 11 I have the Buffalo Sabers and no I am not crazy. The Buffalo Sabers have finally solved the main issue they've had for many years which is goaltending by trading for young goaltender Robin Lehner. Also from drafting Jack Eichel and Acquiring Ryan O'reilly there top six is looking very very nasty

7

Number 10

At number ten I have the Columbus Blue Jackets. Now the Columbus Blue Jackets are a very interesting team. They've got great offense, great defense, and awesome goaltending all around just a great team, but after being eliminated by the Penguins in round one of the 2014 playoffs they did not have a good season this year, some may argue that it was because of all their injuries and if the Jackets can stay healthy next season I think they will be a good team but fall short of the playoffs

8

Number 9

The Philadelphia Flyers will finish 9th In the eastern conference, they've got a lot of great players offensively but I just think the goaltending and defensive core isn't good enough

9

Number 8

After an unbelievable season last year making the playoffs with Andrew Hammond a goalie that no one had even heard of, I think the sens will be back in the playoffs this season. The big name players like Erik Karlsson, Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris all had 50 point seasons and will have more points next year, and he there young players like Curtis Lazar, Mark Stone and Mika Zibanejad are only getting better

10

Number 7

Fresh off there 24 year playoff streak the Detroit Red will come in at number 7 in the east and make it a 25 year playoff streak. The wings improved there defensive core and top six offensive core by signing Free Agents Mike Green and two time Stanley Cup winner Brad Richards

11

Number 6

After a very crazy season the New York Islanders not making much moves this offseason the biggest probably signing Thomas Greiss as the new back up goaltender but after a season like that there's no question they'll be back in the playoffs

12

Number 5

Alex Ovechkin last years leading goal scorer and the Caps will finish 5th in the east there fantastic on the power play and young players like Evegeny Kuznetsov and Andre Burakovsky have proved they can be big parts to the team

13

Number 4

After an unbelievable season from Carey Price winning five awards including The Hart Memorial Trophy the 28 year old goaltender will have another great season and the Montreal Canadiens will finish 4th in the eastern conference

14

Number 3

The Pittsburgh Penguins coming off a disappointing season barley making the playoffs and being eliminated in the first round by the rangers will have a bounce back season next year after acquiring Phil Kessel from the leafs and Center Nick Bonino from Vancouver and with all the young talent they have in there defensive core they'll be a huge threat next season

15

Number 2

The presidents trophy winning New York Rangers will finish second in the east next season they have a good offense core, a great defensive core and an even better goaltending core with the King Henrik Lundqvist

16

Number 1

Finally I think the Tampa Bay Lightning will be the Beast of the East next year with all the young talent, over 6 feat 5 players and Ben Bishop
