Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.)

On a scale of 1-10, we think Robert Downey Jr’s transformation is a 4. With a little facial hair and a steely gaze, RDJ sure looks intimidating as Iron Man. But surely, the muscles underneath the Iron Man suit aren’t that chiseled.

Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)

Scarlett Johansson’s transformation is a 3. The sultry beauty is just sporting a shorter, redder haircut for the Avengers movie… but she’s still basically her lovely self.

Is this even a transformation? The pensive hottie slapped on a patriotic suit and stole our hearts as Captain America… but Chris Evans’ transformation gets a 1.

Now we’re cooking with gas! Mark Ruffalo’s villainy makeover is stunning. This transformation is an 8 for turning our favorite down-to-earth sweetheart into a scary, undesirable bad guy with scars, some sort of limp, and creepy eyes. Those were the windows into his soul!

Ding! Ding! Ding! This transformation takes the cake. James Spader is completely unrecognizable as Ultron, earning this transformation a 10.
