The world is your oyster! An Aleph camper at Shwayder has it GOOD. You’re carefree, your bunk is relatively huge, and your counselors are essentially superhumans. Plus, it’s nice being everyone’s favorite!
You know a thing or two about camp by now and you’re starting to get the hang of things. Too nervous to go on the zipline last year? No problem, because this year you’re all about conquering your fears! The future is bright for you, young Bet, you have many years of fun in store.
Gimels! Wow, do the YOU have a good life at camp or what? No need to worry about your camper years coming to a close-- you still got at least 3 more summers ahead! Plus, by now talking to the girls/boys cabin is as easy as it has ever been. Now that you and your camp friends have known each other a couple years, carrying those friendships outside of camp is a breeze. Also, those Alephs and Bets? Well, now they’re looking up to you!
You may as well run camp! You know all the traditions by now, the routines, the games…plus, you get FIFTH HOUR! That’s right, an entire period devoted to you and your friends while all the other campers are sound asleep. Angel Ridge? Mt. Evans Sunrise? Pshht! Piece of cake! Though, now you know the real value at camp, and how hard it is to leave your friends every summer. Stand proud, seasoned veteran, you are on top of the world!
Phew! You made it! You’re still with us! SITs are the lifeblood, the energy-engines that make camp GO. Finally you get to enjoy that hot tub in the staff lodge. You deserve it, too! With all your hard work and ruach, take the time the to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
This is the job you’ve always wanted! You may be exhausted, but who cares!? Your job is to have fun with kids 24/7 on top of a mountain! What could be better? Plus, you’re every kids’ hero. It seems like you know how to do everything! Shoot a bullseye? Easy. Catch the Leap of Faith? Simple. King of GaGa? No doubt. Make camp whatever you want it to be!
Love Camp, but one thing’s really your jam? You’re a SPECIALIST! Let the campers come to you and show them a whole new world on top of a mountain, high in a lodgepole pine, or mounting a mighty steed! You’re like the wacky aunt/uncle of camp and everyone’s always excited to see you sit with them at a meal. Though, remember, no helmets at the table!
Step aside, Assistant Director coming through! You know it’s a gonna be a fun time whenever the AD comes to your program, because that means it HAS to be good! Walk around camp with your head held high and enjoy the sights and sounds of kids laughing, shooting hoops, and calling out your name. Hey, you may have a lot of work to do, but it’s all worth it when everyone’s having so much fun.
It’s good to be KING! Or Queen! You see camp a little differently than everyone else; you want campers and the staff to have the best time imaginable, BUT also in the SAFEST way possible. You have made it to the mountain top, and it’s just as wonderful as you’d imagine. Camp can’t run without you, and who would would want it any other way!? You RULE!
