15 Essentials to pack in the Hospital bag before the baby arrives

You will want to have all of your insurance information ready for financial purposes and regarding the Birthing Plan if you set one up most definitely use it duh Who do you wan't in the room with you?, Do you want to stand up or go through some of your contractions in the bathtub? all of these things are part of a birthing plan here is a wonderful template right here:

One of your biggest priorities other than having the baby is comfort. So bringing a couple of pairs of comfy socks would be a good idea. You will be walking up and down the halls to jumpstart labor and will need some comfy socks.

Do not and I repeat do not wear any bras with underwire first of all ouch, more than likely your breasts will be engorged and underwire will leave a nasty mark and be painful. Buy a few maternity bras and use those bad boys and if you were planning on Breastfeeding bring nursing pads and maybe some numbing cream.

Labor is sweaty so bring a girl's best friend the Ponytail holder to tie your hair back.

You may not be able to eat any of these yummy snacks before labor but you will be pretty hungry after labor then you can whip out the snacks.

You will want to text friends or have a family member or partner text friends and family when the baby arrives, more than likely you will not because well you're having a baby.

Bring a camera or use a cell phone camera to take photos of the new arrival.

Like Shower Gel, Deoderant, Toothpaste, Razors, Shaving cream because you may be there awhile.

Something to make you feel at home maybe a favorite fluffy pillow or a Blanket.

Fresh clothing for yourself, your spouse and your new little one.

Again if you're like me you wan't to feel at home so bring a couple of your own bath towels because its just more comforting using your own.

If you plan to Breastfeed Bring the pump along to pump some milk before going home.

You may have some and I say some lightly time to yourself before contractions start or a break in between so bring some of your favorite books, or maybe an adult coloring book to pass a little time and maybe get your mind off the pain a bit.

You may wan't to have a Birthing song or playlist when the baby is coming so bring in your mp3 player.

Put new comfortable blankets in the bag for baby coming home.
