Why delegate tasks to somebody else?
If you play long hours having lots of chores can be overwhelming. Also... as everything is about hourly rate in poker an extra hour at the tables is worth more than the money saved not paying somebody for an hour of work. So let's look at the stuff a pro should delegate to somebody else.
Cleaning your apartment can be boring and thankless job (unless you are weird and enjoy it). The professionals will be faster and better at it, and not only will you have more time to grind you will be able to do so in a nicer environment.
Walking your dog is one of the joys of life but if you are an MTT regular or playing a major festival like SCOOP, you simply wont be able to walk your pooch until you bust.
If you are not super busy - don't do it. Your dog needs you and you need the fresh air.
Just like with cleaning the apartment and also it sucks having to iron. Plus poker players get a bad rep for looking scruffy so here is your chance to stand out for looking good.
Once again, time with your kids is precious and the whole point of poker should be to give you the freedom to spend more time with them. However, on those rare SCOOP or MTT grinds this is a decent option.
If you love to do it, then do it, but poker players tend to live on cereal and cheetos, so this is a great thing to delegate.
You can usually find decent catering companies who deliver 2-3 times a day, ideally with healthy menu choices.
You use your brain for complex problem solving all day, you don't need to be doing your own taxes.
You can even delegate other complex tasks like creating custom HUDs, which other professionals can do for you in poker.
The bottom line is, you have limited mental energy in the day, so reserve as much as it for poker as possible.
