Anxious, witty and armed with deadly manipulation, Ethan is the only character in this book whose power is weaker in a crowd; maybe being a representation of his social weakness. As a normal boy, Ethan can be kind and committed to the things he values most, but also turns cowardly in situations of deep peril. Scam, however, is a different story. Focused on telling you what you want to hear and to get him whatever he wants most, Ethan’s “voice” is cynical and cunning, leading Ethan to either get exactly what he wants or to submerge him deeper and deeper into the pool of lies the “voice” is creating. No matter what he gets into though, Ethan always has honourable intent in his actions.

Quiet, barely recognizable and patient beyond belief, Thibault has a surprisingly big heart for someone that’s been let down so many times in their life. His powers are the recurring reason for this however, as he is able to cut away people's attention towards him and is never able to fully maintain them. This makes having any sort of relationship with him quite the hassle, but there are always people willing to devote themselves to him; and they always find that it’s quite worth it. Emotional baggage will always weigh Thibault down, however his Zen like way of life keeps it in check for the most part. He knows how to take care of himself and likes it that way, but what he craves more than anything is to be seen; and it’s the people who do see him that find they enjoy him even more than they thought.

Compassionate, brave and able to observe almost everything, Riley has the most ironic power in this book; the power of sight through others when she herself is blind. Riley typically surrounds herself with kind-hearted and special people, using her power as a way of viewing people for who they really are. The one downside with Riley’s seemingly endless sight is that since it isn’t truly her own, she lacks the ability to control who and what she sees. Oftentimes she loses herself in the people she looks through, and that is why it’s up to her friends to sometimes pull her back in and help her focus on her own bright and colourful personality. So where ever you go, Riley will always keep track of you; she just hopes that you'll do the same.

Stubborn, morally driven and slightly irritable, Chizara has the worst time handling her gift as it physically causes her pain to keep it in. Regardless of this, she exhibits self control when in the necessary situations but isn’t afraid to turn all that around and unleash the full-forced fury of her powers. Tough because of the burden she carries, it is rare to see Chizara let go and relax for even a moment. This sort of dedication is needed when always striving to follow her moral compass that says to do no harm, but the same dedication can slowly turn into obsession and then addiction. If this happens, divulging can surely lead her astray from her morals. With a little help from others and a high tolerance level, she can achieve almost anything she puts her mind to; just as long as it’s the right thing to do.

Dangerously driven and aware of everything going on, Nate is the “Glorious Leader” of his little band of misfits. Charming and charismatic, one smooth look will have you begging to hear whatever he has to say. However, hidden behind the seemingly casual connection he has with his group is a dangerous, ruthless and relentless need to be in control, to fulfill the ultimate goal. Whatever it might be, the goal is what Nate is truly after; and he is willing to do and sacrifice anything to achieve it. This isn’t to say that Nate isn’t someone you want to get to know, he can be quite sweet and caring; but be careful. Keep your guard up, for you never know when you might be playing exactly into his hand.

Reliable, strong and always ready for a great time, Kelsie is quite literally the life of any party, crowd or group she comes into contact with. With the power to feed her own emotion into the group of people she surrounds herself with, Kelsie makes anyone she meets happy to see her. Sure, she can be a bit controlling at times but what she brings to the table is so irrefutable, you’re left with no other choice than to join her ever-growing mob. Kelsie is loyal to a fault, but mix that with her carnal need to always be apart of something bigger and she can be quite easily taken advantage of the wrong types of people. That’s why it’s up to the people in her group to protect her and to the recycle the high energy she constantly puts into everything she does. So if you’re ever planning something big, make sure to bring Kelsie or you’ll be missing out on something extraordinary
