This decade was all about feminine curves including tiny waists bound tightly in cinched corsets.

The "flapper" girl style was all about a smaller bust and waist and emphasized the legs with short dresses.

In the 1930's, the waistline returned, hemlines got longer and curves make a small comeback.

During World War II, broad shoulders became appealing as well as angular clothing including pointy bras known as "torpedoes" and "bullets"!

The hourglass figure is ideal in the 1950's and includes soft, voluptuous curves.
