On Wednesday, President Trump responded to news that Disney Chairman Bob Iger apologized to Valerie Jarrett. Iger's apology came after actress and comedian Roseanne Barr posted a tweet attacking Jarrett's looks.
ABC and Disney made the joint decision to cancel the popular Roseanne revival, despite an apology from Ms. Barr. Iger shared the statement from ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey on his Twitter, adding "it was the right thing to do."
Naturally, Trump found Iger's sincerity a little hard to buy considering how shows like The View consistently trash him and his administration. So, Trump hopped on Twitter and called Iger out over his hypocrisy.
“Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that ‘ABC does not tolerate comments like those’ made by Roseanne Barr,” Trump tweeted. “Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC."
"Maybe I just didn’t get the call?”
In addition to ABC cancelling her show, Roseanne was dropped by her talent agency and Viacom pulled Roseanne reruns from Paramount and CMT networks. Ms. Barr apologized to Jarrett a second time, asking fans not to defend her horrible tweet.
