Conversation With My Old Self Before Having A Baby

In the privacy of our minds we constantly talk to ourselves about almost everything! Our inner monologue might seem pointless at times, but the truth is these invisible conversations in our heads do in fact help us learn, keep calm and maintain a positive act in many cases. Here, we have a loving mom talking to her young old self, way before marriage and kids. What would you tell your old self today? Look closely, can you relate?

New me

New me say

Hey you, it’s been a while.

Old me

Old me say

Oh hiiii, how are you? I know right!

New me

New me say

I'm alright, drained though. Kids and house taking all my time.

Old me

Old me say

Kids.. how did that happen (-_-)

New me

New me say

Never thought I’d say this, but it was the best ‘un-planned’ decision I ever took..

Old me

Old me say

But you're drained and exhausted… where is this coming from?

New me

New me say

Yes, and I'm going crazy as well... but guess what, when you have kids, you discover a new meaning to life. You start asking yourself what you can do for the world, not what can the world do to you...

Old me

Old me say

Go on… ʘ_ʘ

New me

New me say

This might seem odd, but kids make you unselfish, and they give you purpose. And purpose is the answer to having a long happy life. Many people don’t have a purpose and are still searching for it… my search has ended when my kids came.

Old me

Old me say

You could have pursued your career you know.. wasn't that a purpose for you?

New me

New me say

It was at some point of time, but how rich would my life be if I had stayed in that office?

Old me

Old me say

…..

New me

New me say

Yes, children are perceived as a backward step for a professional career. Yet again, making my life rich and filled with unconditional love goes beyond workplace. And let’s face it, I can always find another job. And I can make my career wherever my job is found, and if I lose my job, the odds are I will find another one. Family, friends, spouses and children are harder to come by, and much much harder to replace.

Old me

Old me say

But I'm sure you miss your old life with no responsibilities to worry about, no?!

New me

New me say

I’d lie if I say no, but look at what I have now! I’m extremely grateful for what I have. My goals are framed. I'm teaching other human beings ‘life’ and beyond. I'm coaching them to become successful and achievers. My future has never been filled with so many plans, and I am focused on getting that done every single day. Even my fears in life are now channelled to fuel their spirits and passion. What more can I ask for?

Old me

Old me say

OK.. now what..

New me

New me say

All I have to say to you is don’t let failure hold you back. There will be times ahead that you will fall and make mistakes, but with the strength in your heart, you will get up in no time and do the right thing, because your family needs you. Your children need you. You will succeed and you will excel.

My kid

My kid say

I POOPED :P

Time to go now..
