Lily Rose had to have an emergency C-Section to deliver her litter

Lily Rose had heart-worms, and mange, and she was pregnant and about to give birth to a litter of puppies. But something wasn't right, and rescuers rushed Lily Rose to a Vet

Sadly, Lily Rose didn't make it.

But she gave birth to eight healthy puppies, and rescuers were determined to give them the life their mother never had. The only problem was that the puppies needed someone to nurse them.

Pocahontas had been friends with Lily Rose, and had just weaned her own pups so it was perfect timing

Luckily for the pups, a hero stepped in. Another Pit Bull mix who had been rescued alongside Lily Rose took to the Pups immediatly

Pocahontas now has sixteen pups to care for; (her own eight, and Lily Rose's litter) but she's done a great job! Someone is a serious contender for mother of the year!
