Is Davis close to a first-team start?

Marcelo Bielsa has outlined his plan for 19-year-old left back Leif Davis who has "good options" as part of Leeds United's future.

Davis joined the Whites from Morecambe in July 2018 with the Newcastle-born defender impressing for United's under-23s before making five appearances for the first team, starting with a full Championship debut in December's 3-2 win at Aston Villa.

After another start in the third round FA Cup loss at QPR, Davis was then handed another three league outings from the bench and the defender has again impressed at the start of the new campaign.

Bielsa suggests Nketiah will decide his future

Eddie Nketiah’s enjoyment of life at Leeds United will be key to whether or not the Arsenal loanee stays at Elland Road beyond January.

Marcelo Bielsa has suggested that the young striker will have a big say in whatever happens in the transfer window.

Nketiah is current sidelined with a lower abdominal injury, one that cruelly occurred just 24 hours before he was due to make his first ever Championship start for the Whites.

Bielsa has remained tight lipped on the exact nature of the problem, other than to say that the 20-year-old is in pain and not training.

More investment reports

Andrea Radrizzani wants to retain significant control at Leeds United even if he sells a stake to Qatar, Football Insider understands.

The United owner has held further talks with the state-owned Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) this week and was photographed alongside Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the PSG president who also runs QSI, last night.

This provided further evidence of the two parties working towards a deal that would see the mega-rich company with its first foothold in English football.

However Leeds source has told Football Insider that Radrizzani is not currently looked to sell all his shares in the club, which amount to a holding of around 88 per cent.

Mowbray on Leeds test

They have good players and a huge fanbase. Put that all together and you’ve got a chance. But we’ll throw punches back and see if we can give them a bloody nose.

Whelan names Leeds back up striker

Tyler Roberts will be the back-up striker to Patrick if he gets injured or taken off, that’s what I’m hearing. That certainly makes sense, even though Roberts was fantastic in the number 10 role against QPR.

Dean Henderson reveals Whites snub

I'd been down to Leeds, and it looked as though I was signing there. Bristol City were very keen as well, and then my agent rang me and said that Sheffield United had been on the back burner. I said to him 'Why haven't you told me?'
Dean Henderson, Sheffield United goalkeeper

Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has revealed he turned down the chance to join the Whites in favour of the Blades last season.

The 22-year-old made the move to Bramall Lane on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United at the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

Henderson featured in every league outing for Chris Wilder's men as they secured promotion from the Championship ahead of Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Bielsa: Jack Clarke is improving

Marcelo Bielsa insists Leeds United loanee Jack Clarke is “improving” despite failing to feature in a single Championship fixture this season.

The 18-year-old winger made the switch to Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur in the summer before returning to Elland Road immediately on a season-long loan deal.

Clarke made 24 appearances under Bielsa last term in his breakthrough campaign in West Yorkshire, bagging two goals and two assists for the Whites.

According to L'Equipe, the talks are ongoing, with a QSI source quoted:

There are real discussions but it's advancing slowly. But it could all accelerate tomorrow.”

Ben White responds to Bielsa, teammates and fans praise

With team-mates, fans, commentators and even Marcelo Bielsa queuing up to say nice things about him, Ben White could be forgiven for allowing himself a moment to bask in praise.

But the Brighton centre-half, on loan to Leeds United for the 2019/20 season, says he is determined to keep his feet on the ground and instead focus on how he can improve on his impressive start to life in the Championship.

White is yet to miss a minute of Leeds' league campaign and the performances he has produced have earned both plaudits and awards.

Noel Whelan on Ryan Edmondson

I would think he’s almost certain to go on loan in January... Edmondson doesn’t seem to be making any headway and it’s telling he wasn’t even on the bench against QPR when Eddie Nketiah pulled out. Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t trust him.

Danny Mills tips Leeds to re-sign Rob Green...

I have to say, Rob Green is out of contract, still available and he lives locally. Stranger things have happened. I’m sure there are goalkeepers out there, unattached, without football clubs at the moment.

Club Statement - Kiko Casilla

Leeds United Football Club acknowledges the charge from the FA today relating to Kiko Casilla and an alleged breach of FA Rule E3 during our Sky Bet Championship match with Charlton Athletic at The Valley in September.
Kiko strenuously denies the allegation and has proactively worked with the FA during their investigation to date.
The next step of this process will be a personal hearing, in the meantime Kiko will remain available for selection.

Kevin Phillips makes Jarrod Bowen claim

...His movement is very good and his technical ability. He’s a player who is going places. Dare I say it, put him in the Leeds team in January and he might be the difference between them getting promoted or not.
