7 differences from 1950 to now

In the 1950s the women were supposed to stay home and attend to the house and kids. But now 58.6% of women were working or looking for work however.

An extreme majority of the work force was men. The men were expected to come home and only bring money, now 46.9% of the work force is made up by women.

Before, a dirty house meant the most to people. It was such a big deal if something was out of lace, you must rush to fix it. Now people have house maids and cleaners that come weekly.

In the 1950s main meals were meat and potatoes. Another really big thing was gelatin. however, now there is fast foo, and we can just order food. yea sure there are still home cooked meals, but we still have delivery options now and then

Everyone was expected to be the same in the 1950s, so those who listened to Rock and Roll were going against the norm. Now everyone has different styles, Rock, R&B, Pop, ect.

It was definitely out of the “norm” to be homosexual. People who were homosexual were going against everything and considered rebellious. People were not treated equally in that aspect. But now in 2018 people are even celebrated for coming out and being different!

Comics in newspapers were becoming big, The Peanuts by Charles Schulz were extremely popular. It eventually became the worlds most widely read comic! Kids loved it. But now kids have video games and tv channels to keep their attention. Nowadays kids have “The Boss Baby: Back In Business” what a difference!
