A broken down vehicle is causing delays on the A720 at the Sheriffhall Roundabout. Traffic Scotland say lanes will be restricted westbound for up to 15 minutes.

Due to a road closure, the number 2, 47 and 300 buses are unable to serve Nicolson Square and are being diverted via Chambers Street westbound only until further notice.

11:48 BREAKING: Further arrests made in motorbike theft probe

Some more breaking news to bring you before lunch.

Police have arrested a 28-year-old man as part of their ongoing enquiry into the theft of motorbikes and riding equipment in East Lothian, West Lothian and Fife.

Officers from the Community Investigation Unit in Musselburgh carried out a search at a property on Allan Terrace in Dalkeith, where a number of evidential items were seized from within.

11:35 BREAKING: Arrest made after serious assault in Portobello

Police in Edinburgh have arrested a man in connection with a serious assault in the Portobello.

The incident took place in Mountcastle Crescent around 6am on Sunday 27th August 2017.

After a police appeal issued on Monday, a 32-year-old man was arrested the following day and has been released pending further enquiry.

Officers have thanked the public for their assistance.

It's ten degrees in the city just now ahead of a top temperature of thirteen. It's set to be a rather uneventful day weather-wise, with sunny intervals and some cloud, so you won't need your brolly.

Trains running out of Edinburgh this morning will be subject to disruption due to a signalling fault at Waverley. ScotRail are advising passengers to check their website and Twitter feed for more information.

A bit of congestion on the Edinburgh City Bypass but nothing out of the ordinary. We'll keep you posted if that changes.
