The present holds witness to blockchain and artificial intelligence’s continuous breakthrough – catalyzing the pace of innovation and proposing fundamental shifts in every industry.

Each technology has its technical complexity and business implications, but the collective use of the two may incur to overhaul the whole technological (and human) paradigm from scratch.

The next decade will look nothing like the last decade. Because of disruptive tech like AI, according to OECD Research, jobs will be cut down by 50% in the next 10 years. What are we going to do when the large part of the labor force is unemployable through no fault of their own? The question is: As a community, will we choose to embrace change?

With blockchain and AI disrupting the augmented stage and potentially taking over works in the future, what is the solution?
Below are Moyn Islam’s insights:

  • Education, education, education

For a community to change, knowledge is vital.

  • Strategical steps

Imagine a prepared future rather than sticking with the status quo. People
need tools to stay ahead of the inevitable.

“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” Alvin Toffler

  • 70% of workers today are disengaged
  • 89% of the employers’ people leave for the money, but only 12% actually do.
  • 72% want to quit to be entirely independent

Workers for the future want freedom, flexibility, resources, the pursuit of intrinsic motivation, and automation of tedious tasks working from anywhere.
There’s no doubt that AI and blockchain are transformative technologies – perhaps even the most transformative technologies fast accelerating and already available today.

With this, the future job market will be primitively distinct—almost opposed—to what we have now. There are streams of forces that will significantly modify the way we work and the type of jobs we take. The rapid rise of refined technology, global connectedness, and a concourse of other factors will make the workforce of the future almost unrecognizable.
