I must admit I am slightly shocked not to receive one of Darren's three wildcard picks, and disappointed not to see my fellow Scot Russell Knox in the team. Not that I've ever spoken to him.
I wish us all the best at Hazeltine, however. It will be, it will be a very tough battle for us out there, especially with six rookies, but if you can lead the team, just as I did that memorable week at Celtic Manor in 2010, we will be just fine. Just fine.
Out of interest Darren, when did you send out the vice-captain invites, as I see Paul, Thomas, Ian, Padraig and Sam have already got theirs?
