Neil Armstrong

Neil Armstrong

You're the first person to be on the moon! Neil Armstrong's last and second last Apollo 11 expedition took him to the moon and we all know that famous picture of him in a space suit. He also did a North Pole expedition, because he was curious to see what the north pole would look like from the ground, as he had just seen it from space.

We sadly don"t have any projects in space, but what about exploring the world from the ground? Check out all the projects on frontier.ac.uk

Christopher Columbus

Christopher Columbus

You are Christopher Columbus! When we think of explorer, he's one of the first people we think of. Trying to reach India in the 1500's, he accidentally discovered Central America and called it "The New World". Even if the Vikings originally were the first people to discover America, he was the first to actually make contracts with the Americans and lead to permanent European colonization.

Join our volunteers on the Central America Trail to see what Christopher discovered! https://frontier.ac.uk/projects/97/Central-America-Ethical-Adventure-Trail---10-week-incorporating-a-placement

Gertrude Bell

Gertrude Bell

You are Gertrude Bell! The story of this woman is really incredible, so incredible it made it to the big screen (Queen of the Desert, directed by Werner Herzog). A lot of people know of Lawrence of Arabia, but Gertrude, being fluent in Arabic and Persian, actually traveled with him. She was the first women to receive a first class degree in History from Oxford and also actively opposed women's suffrage in Britain.

Asia has been the continent Gertrude traveled to the most and there"s a lot to discover. Check out all our projects in Asia: https://frontier.ac.uk/ProjectSearch.aspx?search=yes&region=9

Aimée Crocker

Aimée Crocker

You're Aimee Crocker! Born into a quite wealthy family she was known for her extravagant parties back in San Francisco, New York and Paris. After being the subject of a lot of gossip, she decided to travel to the "Far East" and ended up becoming a Hawaiian princess and having quite outrageous encounters with people such as head hunters in Borneo and murderers in Shanghai. She also came home with a lot of tattoos!

Aimee is known for exploring the "Far East" meaning the East of Asia. Do you want to explore the Far East too? Check out our South East Asia Trail! https://frontier.ac.uk/projects/69/South-East-Asia-Ethical-Adventure-Trail---10-week-incorporating-a-placement
