This is classic Indian dish which is commonly found on streets of Punjab and Mumbai (formerly called Bombay). This delight is made using white chickpeas curry and a fried leavened bread.

Many of you might have already tasted chaat. it is a classic dish which mostly consists of curd,chickpeas and puri. they are mixed with a masala called chaat masala.

well, now we have reached vada pav. Vada pav originated in Mumbai(formerly called Bombay). it is basically a potato patty in a toasted bun. i call it the 'Indian Burger'

There is this sort of joke in India where a man who lives on Earth has a girlfriend on the moon. So he wanted to send some roses [in Hindi its called 'Gulab'] to his girlfriend on the moon. so he said 'Gulab Ja Moon'. which means Rose go to the moon in English. OK, anyways Gulab Jamun is milk-solid based sweet with a sweet sugar syrup [see recipe video]. Even though it is not only found in India. it is very famous here.

So Pav Bhaji is one of my favorite Indian dishes from a long time. it is basically 'Pav '[bread] with a bhaji or in English curry. It is served with chopped onions and lemon for more flavour.

Rasgulla or what Bengali's call 'Rosogoola' is said to originate in West Bengal and is made with a semolina and chhena dough and is cooked in a light sugar syrup.

Ari Puttu or Rice steam cake is a delicacy in Kerala. It may be called a 'cake' but it isn't sweet. it normally eaten with 'Kadla Curry' or chickpeas curry. It is mainly eaten at breakfast in Kerela

Pakodas or so called Fritters are one of the most famous snacks found on the streets of India, there is no street in India without any pakodas on sale. it is made by dipping a star veggie [onion,chilli,potato etc.] in a gram flour batter.In Kerala they dip Banana in this batter and make banana fritters

Samosas are the most famous Indian street snack. it is made by filling filo pastry with a filling mainly made of green peas and 'aloo'[potato]. If you are health conscious you make your own version of samosa by baking it rather than frying.
