Green colored ghosts are often associated with gluttony, excess, and partying hard. Think Slimer in Ghostbusters. These ghosts tend to have had little regrets in their life and continue to feast on Earthly interests, such as food and drink, even as ghosts.

Although less common, red or orange ghosts are generally thought of as protectors. It is believed that the warm colors these ghosts exhibit is a sign that they are watching over the area and that no harm shall come to anyone within their vicinity.

Blue ghosts are thought to have wisdom they are trying to pass on to someone living. These ghosts feel as though they have unpassed along knowledge and do not want to go to the undead realm until someone living has learned what they know.
