Getting into ninjitsu school is not easy but you did it!

We look forward to you starting at ninjitsu school next semester. Here are some notes about the quiz you just took:

- Ninjas conduct more espionage than do anything else. While they are hired for assassinations and the like, typically their role was to be spies.
- Ninjas would only hand down their secrets to their children and only if they were worthy.
- Ninjas hide in plain sight. A mission in Times Square would require dressing as people there do.
- Ninjas have no assigned affiliation. They will work for whoever hires them.
- Ninjas work with concealable weapons and that is why it would be rare for them to bring large swords on a mission. Ash inside eggshells is used for smoke bombs so they can disappear quickly. Poison and throwing knives or darts are common amongst ninjas.
- Ninjas would deliver messages to one another by leaving colored rice. Each color represented a message.
- This one is hard to explain but ninjas used to believe they could tell the time of day by looking into the eyes of a cat. They would, therefore, bring cats with them on long journeys. Crickets were brought and used to create sound, making it easier for ninjas to move undetected. Dogs would not come with.
- Finally, a ninja would hide in plain sight. In a garden situation, this would mean acting as a gardener would.
