The brave firefighters of Snohomish County Fire District 7 in the state of Washington responded to a call that home was on fire in the area, and on arrival, the family had made it out safely, all except one member, their dog, Sampson. He was still trapped inside.
Firefighters quickly forced entry into the home to start their initial search. Crews were able to locate the dog and bring him out to the driveway where the medics were.

But when they finally got Sampson out of the burning house, he wasn't breathing. So, they started to perform CPR on the dog until they were able to get him breathing again. Fortunately, they also had an animal oxygen kit to help normalize his breathing while he was en route to the vet. And only hours later, when they returned to check the home for hot spots that could still reignite fires, he was already back up on his feet, wagging his tail in greeting.
