Rihanna has officially beaten out the King of Pop in number of top ten hits. The two were previously tied for third place in number of hits on the Billboard, but now at just 29 years old, Rihanna has officially taken over the third spot with her 30th top ten hit.
Rihanna is now only the third artist to ever break 30 top ten hits. Madonna has the most top ten hits with 38. The Beatles have 34. Her song "Love on the Brain" went from 13th to 8th this week, bringing her into this pantheon of good company.
Even more impressive, she's had the second fastest accumulation of over thirty hits. It took Madonna 12 years to break thirty, whereas Rihanna took only 10 years and 7 months. The Beatles were fastest, accomplishing the feat in just under 6 years.
