With the limited number of episodes in this season of GoT, the show's creators seem to have introduced a teleporter on Westeros. This episode opened with us getting exactly what we anticipated when Jon headed to meet Dany last week: the King of the North confronting a dragon. Wasn't it endearing to see the person who had faced the Night King duck?

At first Dany is reluctant to give Jon what he wants, seeming that he won't bend the knee to someone with so many more titles than he. Jon is reluctant to bend the knee to the daughter of the person who roasted his relatives alive. It's here that we saw the Queen's conundrum come to the forefront: Dany's claim to the throne rests entirely on her father's legacy, but she doesn't want people to think that she is the same person as her father.

This scene also set us up for Game of Throne's creators to pull a plot twist out of the book, with Dany proclaiming that she is the "only Targaryen alive." Book readers know that there might actually be another Targaryen -- a character known as Young Griff, Dany's nephew Aegon. Could this be a red herring, or is the show setting us up for a surprise next week?

Anywho, it was amazing to see Davos demonstrate how much Jon has earned the faith of the people compared to Dany, who is still essentially viewed as a foreign invader in Westeros. Plus Jon is humble about having come back from the dead! What a mensch.

With the news of Euron's attack on Theon and Yara coming in, Dany realizes that she has lost two allies: Dorne and the Iron Islands. She grants Jon the rights and manpower to mine the Dragonglass to make weapons to defeat the White Walkers.

Meanwhile at King's Landing, Euron has arrived with Yara, Ellaria Sand, and one of the Sand Snakes. He wants to wed Cersei, but Cersei says "not until after the war is over," then goes down into the dungeon to gloat. She delivers the same poison to one of the Sand Snakes, and then goes up to her chamber to seduce Jamie. I kind of celebrate her for owning her incest at this point. What's the use in hiding?

A visitor from Braavos arrives -- a banker, who has come to collect the massive debt that the Lannisters owe the bank. Braavos always collects its debts, and the Lannisters always pay them. Cersei promises to deliver the money she owes within a fortnight, leaving us to wonder where she's going to conjure that money from so quickly.

At Winterfell, Sansa turns out to be a practical ruler with an eye for detail. Just as Littlefinger is encouraging her to have the gift of foresight and always be anticipating the next move, a visitor arrives -- someone with that very same gift. It's difficult for Bran to explain who he is now to Sansa, as she hasn't watched all of the last seasons of Game of Thrones. Still, it was cute to see the sibs reunited again, and Sansa's face as she ran to hug Bran was everything in this instant. Also I hope this means Littlefinger can finally leave Winterfell. But we'll see.

Jorah's greyscale was healed by Sam, whose only power, it turns out, is that he's capable of "following instructions." His reward is not being kicked out of the Citadel, and getting to copy a bunch of manuscripts for the Archmaester. I mean, he could at least get a hug for his efforts, but ok.

But at least all that pain and gruesomeness wasn't for nothing...

The Unsullied have landed at the Lannister's family home of Casterly Rock. As Tyrion narrates, we watch them mount the ramparts and tunnel their way through the tunnel that he included when he was designing the sewers, so that he could smuggle hotties into visit him. (Could this be Tyrion's ho...dor?) But the Unsullied arrive to find that most of the Lannister army is missing. Where could they be?

Actually, Jamie Lannister pulled the same tactic that Robb Stark used on him in the Whispering Wood, and took most of the Lannister forces to conquer Highgarden, and collect the debt that the Lannisters owe to the Iron Bank. After destroying all of the Tyrell forces he finds Lady Olenna in her chambers, where he delivers her a painless poison to her wine. In her last moments she tells him that she caused Joffrey's death, and instructs him to inform his sister-wife. This earns Olenna the title of Honorary Badass of the year.
