In a recent interview with Bill O'Reilly on Fox News, Donald Trump defended Putin to the the television host after O'Reilly called Russian president Vladimir Putin "a killer," saying:

There are a lot of killers. You think our country's so innocent?

Trump went on to discuss how there's a lot of killing going on in America and the world currently, saying:

I think our country does plenty of killing also, Joe, so you know. There's a lot of stupidity going on in the world right now, a lot of killing, a lot of stupidity.

Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, demanded an apology from O'Reilly and Fox News on their statement about Putin being a killer but left Trump alone, saying:

We think that such words from a correspondent of the Fox News network are unacceptable, offensive, and we would, honestly, prefer to receive apologies from such a respected TV company.
