Tauriel

Tauriel

Tauriel, a Silvan Wood-elf of Mirkwood, is a character of The Hobbit film trilogy. She is a captain of the Elven guard of Thranduil's woodland realm. A female Wood-elf from Mirkwood, Tauriel is the captain of Thranduil's guards. Her name means "daughter of the forest". When Tauriel was still small, her Silvan parents were killed by Orcs; she was raised in Thranduil's halls and has, up to now, thought of Legolas as an older brother. Tauriel is a little more than 600 years old. She develops a romance with Kili in Desolation Of Smaug and in Battle Of Five Armies admits it to Kili.

Arwen

Arwen

Arwen Undómiel was born to Elrond and Celebrían, in TA 241. She was the sister to Elladan and Elrohir. She was half-elven, and married Aragorn. She was so beautiful the elves said that she was the very likeness of Lúthien come on the earth again. Arwen spent much of her early life in Lothlórien, the land of her mother's people. But in TA 2951, she met Aragorn in Rivendell when she came to visit her father. They later marry.

Galadriel

Galadriel

Galadriel is a Noldorin princess, the daughter of Finarfin. She was the co-ruler and Lady of Lothlórien along with her husband, Lord Celeborn. Neither she nor Celeborn took royal titles as they saw themselves as guardians of Lothlorien. Galadriel was the only daughter and youngest child of Finarfin, prince of the Ñoldor and of Eärwen, whose cousin was Lúthien. Her elder brothers were Finrod Felagund, Angrod, and Aegnor. Galadriel was a niece of Fëanor, one of the most important elves of the First Age.

Eowyn

Eowyn

Eowyn was the niece of King Theoden of Rohan - her mother was Theoden's sister, Theodwyn. Her father, Eomund, was killed by Orcs when she was very young, and her mother died of grief - Eowyn and her brother Eomer were then raised in Theoden's household. She destroyed the Witch-King of Angmar during the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. She became very ill after the battle (as a result of her injuries, her despair, and over it all, the Black Breath of the Witch-King) , and was healed by Aragorn. While residing in the Houses of Healing, she fell in love with Faramir, whom she married following the War of the Ring.
