Returning home from a morning from walking his dog one morning, Dale Hall noticed the lifeless body a blue-tongued lizard lying in the deep end of his pool. He thought it was probably already dead, but he moved quickly to see if he could save it. His nephews began CPR on the lizard and eventually tried to drain its lungs of water by holding it by its tail. They couldn't get a response out of it, though, so they handed it over to Dale, who had already dug a little grave for the poor lizard, but then it winked.

I thought, 'Hang on here. It might be a goer still.'

So, he administered more CPR and held it by its tail even longer. After several more minutes of unresponsiveness, Hall put the lizard in the grave he dug for it. But then, it twitched once more. He called Wildlife Rescue Sunshine Coast, and they came and took the blue-tongue back to their facility, where, with the help of a nebulizer, he's begun to make a full recovery, and soon, it could be back with the Hall family, alive and well.

There's a chance it's going to find its way back to my house. They're going to release it back in the backyard.

They've now named the blue-tongued lizard Dusty after Dale's one-year-old son. What do you think of this amazing story? Talk to us about it in the comments below, and share with your friends to see what they think!
