It had been a hard day for Melissa Simms

Not only did she have no money, but now she also needed medical care for her sick son. Just when the mother had lost all hope, however, a stranger’s act changed everything.

Melissa lives in Pell City, Alabama.

She lives with her husband and five children. Back in 2015, she was struggling to make ends meet. Money was so tight that she had to make some sacrifices.

But on the surface, the mom would act like everything was okay

Melissa managed to act normally in front of her children, but deep down she was falling apart.

One day, she had an appointment with her doctor

That same day, her son Trey was off school ill, and so she decided to take him to the doctor with her.

But when she got there...

Simms suddenly realized she couldn’t afford the payment.

An embarrassing conversation started between her and the doctor

He spoke loudly, so most people waiting in the office were aware of Melissa's financial struggles.

But then, something happened.

As she tried to resolve the issue with the doctor, one woman walked over to her son and handed him an envelope.

Melissa returned to her son, and opened the envelope.

She couldn't believe this is happening to her.

Inside the envelope, there was a note

“I’ve had days like you are having today. Hang in there".
The note also contained a Bible passage - Joshua 1:9, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

The stranger's kindness didn’t stop there.

She had also inserted a $100 bill into the envelope to help Melissa settle her bill.

Melissa was so moved, so she shared her story on Facebook

“Sorry, I had to share this, I was having one of those days where it just seemed everything was going wrong. Then an unknown woman, which I will call an EARTHLY ANGEL, handed this to my son while we were at the doctor’s office.
This made my whole entire day. THANK YOU! I will pay it forward,” she promised. “I have read about these random acts of kindness, but this is the first time I have ever experienced [one] firsthand! Just thought maybe this could cheer up someone’s day as much as it has mine.”

No need to say- the story soon went viral.

Her story went so viral and popular that a local news network picked it up!

She vowed to follow this stranger's act and “pay it forward” with a good deed of her own.

“I don’t know what she looks like, I don’t know her name, but I hope I get to meet her to say thank you".
