Donald Trump Tweeted That Hillary's Russian Ties Should Be Investigated Instead Of His

Sometimes, when it's late and you can't sleep, it can be helpful to get what's bothering you off your chest. Many therapists will recommend journaling at bedtime as a way to clear out the cobwebs of your psyche. Donald Trump has apparently decided that Twitter works in the same way, as he has gone on yet another late night tweet storm, this time targeting Hillary Clinton and what he claims are her ties to Russia that should be investigated and his own political party, which recently failed to pass a healthcare reform bill, in a series of four tweets.

Trump first attacked the Clintons, claiming, as he did on the campaign trail, that Hillary sold the U.S.'s Uranium to Russia as a way to benefit herself personally. Several independent fact-checkers, including Politifact debunked this several months ago when he made his original claim that she sold 20% of the United States' uranium to Russia to benefit the Clinton Foundation. First of all, the State Department, under Clinton, approved the sale of several U.S. mines and mills to Russia which could be used to produce Uranium but not Uranium itself. Second, there was never any evidence of a quid pro quo benefiting the Clintons found in this deal. In other words, the Clintons are not likely to be investigated in spite of Trump's claims.
