Which Scary Story ACTUALLY Happened!?

“I work in a Titanic museum filled with real artifacts. We usually hear little things but don’t even think about them. One night we were following the last guest out and cleaning behind them, like normal. I happened to glance through a ‘window’ into the Captain’s Bridge and saw an officer there against the back wall. He looked up, made eye contact with me and nodded. I instantly had chills down my spine and just ran out of there. None of the guys who dress up were working that night, and when I got downstairs I glanced at a picture of the original 1912 crew and came face to face with the officer I saw upstairs.”

"After working a hard day I came home to see my girlfriend cradling our child. I didn’t know which was more frightening, seeing my dead girlfriend and stillborn child, or knowing that someone broke into my apartment to place them there."

"This happened maybe two years ago. I was asleep taking a nap in the living room, when I woke up to my dad saying “Watch out for your mom”, so I got up, went to look for my mom and found her passed out in the bathroom. She had really high blood pressure, to the point where internal organs were in danger. We could get help fast enough, so things could be settled with medications only. If my dad wouldn’t have waken me up, things could have ended worse. He died 5 years prior to that event from leukemia."

"My daughter woke me around 11:50 last night. My wife and I had picked her up from her friend Sally’s birthday party, brought her home, and put her to bed. My wife went into the bedroom to read while I fell asleep watching the Braves game.
“Daddy,” she whispered, tugging my shirt sleeve. “Guess how old I’m going to be next month.”
“I don’t know, beauty,” I said as I slipped on my glasses. “How old?”
She smiled and held up four fingers.
It is 7:30 now. My wife and I have been up with her for almost 8 hours. She still refuses to tell us where she got them."

“My brother often stays up really late and annoys me when I’m trying to sleep. One night I woke up and saw a dark, tall figure in my doorway so I yelled at my brother to go away. The figure stayed there, just staring at me. Eventually I got fed up yelling at my brother so I sat up, and that’s when I saw the figure more clearly. Its eyes were hollowed out and it had a small head and a long white neck. I sat back in bed, terrified, and then the figure kind of turned and crumpled in on itself, like it was dissolving into particles and it made this sound like someone exhaling. I still have no idea if it was real or just a hallucination, but it was horrible to say the least.”

"Most memorable unexplained event in my life happened while snow shoeing a few miles away from a small north eastern town in Oregon. The sun was just up and there was a fresh layer of snow about four inches worth. The forest was quiet, eerily quiet. It was one of those places that just makes your hair stand on end. I felt someone, something, was watching me. At this point I turn around to head back to my car only to find a fresh set of human size prints right behind my own. Scary part is that the snow is about two feet deep and these prints were only pressed in a couple inches, there was only a right print and it only occurred in intervals of ten feet or so. They started from nowhere and ended near where I had stopped to turn around. What the hell was following me?"

“I was getting ready for bed late one night, wearing minimal clothes because it was a hot summer night, with the windows open. I clicked off the bedside lamp and turned over to go to sleep. It was pitch black in my room, because that’s the only way I can sleep. Just as I closed my eyes, I heard clear as day the shutter of a camera *click* from over my shoulder. I whirled around and fumbled for the light, but when it turned on, there was no one in sight. I shrugged it off as my imagination, and I hesitantly turned the light back off and curled up once more. Just as I completely dismissed any fears as an overreaction, I heard a low chuckle coming from over my shoulder once more. My bedroom’s on the second floor.”

"I had a good friend die when I was 10. We’ll call him Jon. He died pretty tragically too. He was hit by a car literally right in front of my house when he was chasing down a ball that bounced into the road. Fast forward 7 years. I’m babysitting my little sister and she is playing outside. I’m on the porch swing reading and she’s shooting hoops on a little tikes hoop. The ball bounces out into the road and I look up to see her yell, “Don’t go after that ball Jon!!” Freaked the shit out of me. She never even knew about Jon. I asked her who “Jon” was and she said that he would play with her sometimes outside."

"I check into small hotel a few kilometers from Kiev. It is late. I am tired. I tell woman at desk I want a room. She tells me room number and give key. “But one more thing comrade; there is one room without number and always lock. Don’t even peek in there.” I take key and go to room to sleep. Night comes and I hear trickling of water. It comes from the room across. I cannot sleep so I open door. It is coming from room with no number. I pound on door. No response. I look in keyhole. I see nothing except red. Water still trickling. I go down to front desk to complain. “By the way who is in that room?” She look at me and begin to tell story. There was woman in there. Murdered by her husband. Skin all white, except her eyes, which were red."

"I grew up in New Mexico and was always very into the outdoors, hiking, camping, rock climbing, etc. One summer when I was 19 I went on a 4 day/3 night camping trip near my parents' house on my own. Might sound weird but I had been to this area many times and it was quite safe. Anyway I brought my camera and took lots of pictures. When I came back and developed my film, there were 3 extra pictures that I didn't take... of me... sleeping. One each night.

None of my stuff was missing or stolen and nothing happened, but it freaked the hell out of me."

"Mommy told me never to go in the basement, but I wanted to see what was making that noise. It kind of sounded like a puppy, and I wanted to see the puppy, so I opened the basement door and tiptoed down a bit. I didn’t see a puppy, and then Mommy yanked me out of the basement and yelled at me. Mommy had never yelled at me before, and it made me sad and I cried. Then Mommy told me never to go into the basement again, and she gave me a cookie. That made me feel better, so I didn’t ask her why the boy in the basement was making noises like a puppy, or why he had no hands or feet."

"My brother was getting to sleep one night when he was about 13/14. The lights were off, door’s closed, he was settled with his eyes closed. All of a sudden he gets that feeling that he’s being watched by someone. The feeling becomes stronger and stronger so he pulls the covers over his head, curls into a ball trying not to freak out. He even starts saying the “Our Father’ prayer when a few lines in he hears a voice right next to his ear say, “That’s not going to help you…”

"Took a picture on my old webcam and there was a black humanoid looking figure standing behind me. It absolutely scared the shit out of me and some other strange occupancies have happened since. I have a black cat and it was walking into the room and then I saw it morph into a shadow of a human in one of the bedrooms, I went in and the cat wasn’t in there. The weirdest which I don’t know to this point if it was real or not is once I went downstairs and all the cabinets were wide open and the front door was open also. I was home alone."

Immediately upon finishing the vow, the little overhead light in my bedroom went out. I do not mean the light bulb burnt out - it completely shattered. To this day, I’m not entirely sure if I have ownership over my immortal soul.”
