Mansfield events

As Christmas draws closer, it is time to think about places to spend some time with loved ones. Mansfield council have organised a series of events, like:
the "I Love Mansfield Christmas Market", running until the 16th of December, in West Gate. Also, running will be Snow White's Christmas trail, where participants have to find all her red apples and send in your answer for a chance to win a Christmas present; And for the kids, Santa will be making an appearance till the 24th of December at £4 per child at the Four Seasons Shopping Centre. There is also, a chance for beloved pets to get a chance to meet Santa, with all proceeds going to charities.

Also included this Christmas season is the Snow White Pantomime, starring Sue Holderness, best known for her part in British Sitcom "Only Fools and Horses" as Marlene Boyce, as the Wicked Queen. This is running till the 6th of January 2019. Tickets are priced at £11-19.

Hucknall events

In Hucknall, however, there is a Christmas festival running on the 5th of December from 4pm till 8pm, located at the Town Centre. This event is said to have a snow globe, ice rink, live entertainment, market stalls and Santa's grotto. Then at 7pm, the Christmas lights will be switched on.

Afterwards Santa will be making a trip to Blackwell, making stops at Hilcote and Carter Lane (Dec 8), Newton (Dec 9), Westhouse and the bottom end of Tibshelf (Dec 15) , before arriving at Blackwell on December 16. He will be ready to meet the families who came to see him at 4.30pm.
Santa will be making another appearance on the 23rd to have breakfast with 200 people, with tickets available from £5.

Kimberley events

Santa will stop at Kimberley using his magical canal, where families are invited to hop on board to spend some time with him, on the 9th December from 10am to 4pm, before sailing to Newton for his appointment at 4.30pm. Families can come aboard at the Canalside Heritage Centre, NG9 1NR.
For those who might not want to see Santa, Sleeping Beauty will be presented by the Saltmine Theatre Company, at 2.30-4.30pm, with adult tickets from £4, and £12 for families.It will be hosted by Stapleford Baptist Church, NG9 8DB.

Before all this happens, the residents will start celebrating Christmas by having Colin Paul and the Persuaders to sing some Elvis Presley Gospel songs, carols and Christmas Songs. This will be happening on the 3rd December from 7.30pm at the St.Mary's Church, Eastwood.

Bassetlaw events

On the other hand, Bassetlaw’s Markets will be hosting a series of very special ‘Stocking Filler Markets’ in Retford and Worksop this year that will help you to get prepared for Christmas and provide entertainment for all the family. They will be occurring on the 4th, 11th and 18th of December in Retford; and the 6th and 13th in Worksop.
Furthermore, on the 5th of December there will be a Wreath workshop, at the Ye Olde Bell Hotel, and have some fab, festive fun creating a beautiful handmade Christmas wreath. Further incentive to attend this would be the 25% discount off your two course evening meal when attending. If you can't attend this there is a second one on the 8th, hosted by the Shireoaks Sports and Social Club, from 2-5pm.
