The Big One: Demarcus Cousins to the Pelicans
DeMarcus Cousins has long been talked about at every trade deadline as a part of a blockbuster trade. His tumultuous time in Sacramento has finally come to an end and he's heading to New Orleans to form the best front court combo in years. Cousins and Anthony Davis are both big men and are currently the 4th and 5th highest scorers in the NBA. What some people are worried about however, is did Sacramento get enough in return? Kings owner Vivek Ranadive seems to think very highly of Buddy.

Magic Johnson already making moves as Lakers President
Magic was made Lakers President on Tuesday and in just a few short hours he made his first trade. In addition to hiring a new GM, Magic traded away Lou Williams to the Rockets for Corey Brewer and a first round pick. At 30 years old, Williams will be past his prime by the time these young Lakers can contend. Magic is racking up draft picks already and we'll see if he makes another move at the deadline.
I have high expectations for myself, this team and our organization. The Lakers are about winning and I'll work hard to make that happen.
