Madame Guillotine

Christopher Quigley, of Spring Garden Township, was the talk of the party with this Marie Antoinette-inspired costume. Quigley said he made the costume himself over the course of several years.

2

Evil Queen

Stacy Hammel, of Spring Garden Township, made this "Once Upon A Time"-inspired Evil Queen jacket and blouse special for the Masquerade Ball. Her mask is a temporary tattoo, which she said is a great alternative for someone who wears glasses.

3

Team Swan

i-ron-ic co-owners David Smith, left, and Steve Billet made their swan hats out of a window display they had in the store for the last three months. Smith's look was made by wrapping a black feather boa around a marching band hat and attaching the swan, he said. Billet said he added a pair of sunglasses because they look like swan eggs.

4

Lucha Libre

Gregory Arthur, of York City, said he was going for a lucha libre look. He bought the mask the last time he was in Mexico.

5

Guy Fawkes mask

Tim Miller, of Spring Garden Township, said he chose this light-up Guy Fawkes mask because it fit well with his glasses and he thought no one else would have the same one. He was right.

6

Sir Galahad

Scott Simonds, of York City, said he likes to go above and beyond, especially for Halloween. So, rather than just a mask, he rented this knight costume from Make Believin' Costumes.
