He was a child star

Alfie took up acting at a young age, studying acting at Windlesham House School in Sussex. He had his first professional role in a one-off Channel 4 comedy, You Are Here in 1998 aged 12. He went on to have roles in Elizabeth, Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London and Atonement.

He loves football

Alfie isn't just presenting our show for the paycheck, he genuinely loves football. Growing up he attended Arsenal's Youth Camp and before his acting game took over he had hopes of turning professional. He also grew up regularly attending celebrity football matches with his comedian and actor dad Keith Allen.

In 2008 Alfie starred in the West End production of Equus, taking over from fellow child star Daniel Radcliffe. It's fortunate that he's comfortable with nude scenes, as one of the play's key scenes calls for his character to be completely naked.

With his career and famous family it's no wonder that he has many celebrity friends. He's close friends with many of his GOT costars including Kit Harington and even Iwan Rheon - who plays his torturer and master Ramsay in GOT. He was also in a romantic relationship with Jamie Winstone for many years and has recently linked to Miss Selfridge actress Sai Bennett.
