What’s the best fashion advice I can give you when you want to dress in fashion?    Don’t start with the latest fashion trend, because you’re not going to be able to wear every one.  Instead, start with what works best on you and be very picky with which trends you wear.    Here’s what you need to do:

1.  Know Your Body
No one can wear everything equally well.  Know your assets, know your trouble spots.  Then stick with the shapes and silhouettes that make you look your best.
2.  Know Your Best Colors
No one can wear every color with equal ease.  Learn which colors make your skin glow and your eyes sparkle and stick to a small color palette.  Not only will you always look fabulous, you’ll also be able to mix and match your pieces more easily and cut way down on the number of accessory colors you need.

3.  Know Your Clothing Personality
Some like it bright and dramatic.  Others like it soft and demure.  Once you learn your clothing personality and buy clothes that accurately reflect it, you’ll not only wear everything you own, you’ll stop buying mistakes. 4.  Invest in Classics, Go Light on Trends
Since fashion changes every season, you could spend a fortune buying a whole new wardrobe every six months.  Or, you could build a wardrobe of seasonless classics and just add a trend or two each season to look current and en vogue.
