1

Eldin Jakupovic (Hull City)

Some serious competition this week, with Adam Davies also excelling for Barnsley and Marko Marosi impressing for Doncaster.
But the Bosnian-born keeper gets the vote, after showing his cup prowess not for the first time in making three key saves to deny Swansea's Ki and making another to thwart Nathan Dyer.
Made his claim for a regular starting spot in the process.

2

Kieron Freeman (Sheffield United)

Where you are running hot, you are running hot.
The Blades player is enjoying the time of his footballing life and his vibrant performances have now resulted in three goals in successive matches, with the latest coming in the 4-2 win at Southend.
Has stepped up immeasurably under Chris Wilder.

3

Aidan White (Barnsley)

Another season sadly pockmarked by injury, but White is nothing less than determined and resolute. One of Barnsley's better outfield performers at Bloomfield Road and got rid of any rust with a busy display down the left.

4

Mathieu Baudry (Doncaster Rovers)

Fully match-fit and has looked different class for Doncaster in recent weeks. Another dominant and classy display against Portsmouth. Wins his tackles and headers, reads the game well and has poise on the ball. Too good for League Two.

5

Bernardo (Middlesbrough)

Enjoyed a noteworthy first start at the Riverside Stadium and produced a strong display in the heart of the Boro back four with Sheffield Wednesday's subdued forwards, including former Boro star Adam Reach, above, getting small change out of him,
Ben Gibson and Calum Chambers may be Aitor Karanka's preferred central defensive paring in the league, but Bernardo is no mean deputy.

6

Jack Payne (Huddersfield Town)

Bit of a quiet time of late, but came to the party in a much-changed Town line-up and helped himself to two goals in a sparkling performance, showing signs of the code-breaking talent which convinced the club to make the plunge last summer in the 4-0 FA Cup drubbing of Port Vale. His opener was particularly neat.

7

Nicky Law (Bradford City)

His partnership in the engine room with Josh Cullen is unquestionably one of the better ones in League One and Law showed poise and experience against old club Chesterfield on Saturday and was at the hub of operations.
A player who rarely lets you down.

8

Alex Mowatt (Leeds United)

Another who came in from the sidelines and grasped his chance with both hands.
Put his hand up impressively at Cambridge with an influential performance.
A player who knows where the goal is and nodded in Leeds's winner at the Abbey Stadium following his previous instalment of setting up United's leveller after a wobbly first-half for the team. Also went close with a couple of efforts from distance.
Enjoyed himself immensely - pleasing to see.

9

John Marquis (Doncaster)

Crowned a supreme first half of the season with an outstanding performance against Portsmouth, which yielded two goals and could have easily seen him take the match ball home.
Two deadly finishes with his second being a little gem. Troubled Pompey all game with his link-up play also being excellent and produced something skin to the complete performance.
Thirteen goals this term and his value to Rovers is inestimable.

10

Jordy Hiwula (Bradford)

An up and down time of it with the Bantams, but is currently enjoying an upturn.
Offers a threat with his pace and movement which can unhinge defenders and helped himself to another goal in the 2-0 weekend win over Chesterfield - his third goal in four matches. Has got his mojo back.

11

Caolan Lavery (Sheffield United)

Another vibrant performance full of threat for the Blades, who terrorised Southend at times at Roots Hall.
Helped himself to a goal in the 4-2 away win and harassed the Shrimpers defence throughout. Will prove a weapon for the Blades on the run home.

12

Darren Ferguson (Doncaster Rovers)

Made some positive second-half substitutions to tactically outflank Portsmouth boss Paul Cook en route to Rovers securing a key victory over a promotion rival. Has orchestrated an outstanding renaissance at the Keepmoat Stadium following the lows of the spring.
This spring-time should be sweeter.
