Queue the movie.

Queue the movie.

Or just let The Blue Note queue it for you. The venue's traditional Brew 'n View is taking a spirited spin for the holidays on Dec. 15 with an 8 p.m. screening of the classic 'Home Alone,' starring a young Macaulay Culkin who plays Kevin McCallister, a boy who outwits two cons trying to rob his home during the holidays. If you can't make it to that one, catch the Brew 'n View of Elf at 8 p.m. on Dec. 22, just in time for Christmas. The film documents a human's journey from the North Pole to New York City, where he hopes to find his father. Whichever way you slice it, grab a brew, pull up a seat and enjoy the holiday cheer.

See all the lights.

See all the lights.

You're all about the outdoors, and would do just about anything to experience all the holiday cheer Columbia has to offer — even if that means hopping on the seat of your bicycle and taking a jaunt around town. It's a Wonderful Ride: Holiday Lights Bicycle Tour departs from Lucky's Market at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 18. Helmets are required; Santa hats are encouraged.

If you'd prefer to enjoy the lights from the comfort of a Parks and Recreation minibus, you're in luck because there's a tour quickly approaching. The Holiday Lights and Sights Tour takes off from the Activity and Recreation Center at 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 16. Just a heads up, pre-registration is required.

Rockin' around the Magic Tree, you'll surely be having a happy holiday. Grab a friend, a dog, a significant other or just yourself, and pay a trip to the hometown favorite. There are plenty of twinkling lights to admire, photographs to be snapped and memories to be had in the midst of this glowing masterpiece.

Hear the symphony.

Hear the symphony.

Music is your go-to, and holiday tunes are surely no different. The Missouri Symphony Orchestra presents the Symphony of Toys Holiday Concert at 3 p.m. Dec. 18 at Missouri Theatre, where it'll play songs of the season to support the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Program. Word around town is the big man from the North Pole is planning to pay a visit, so prepare your wish lists.

Pay a visit to Jefferson City.

Pay a visit to Jefferson City.

A little drive outside the city limits won't stop you from partaking in the merriment, because there's no place like the state capital for the holidays. The 79th Annual Capitol Caroling commences at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 in the Missouri State Capitol Rotunda, 1st Floor. If you're still looking for some out-of-town merrymaking, Washington Ice Arena will host the Winter Ice Recital, which features myriad figure skaters of all ages and performance levels, at 6 p.m. Dec. 17.
