National Comic Book Day: Which Comic Book is Made Up vs Real? 

Comic books make the world go round and can quite literally take you around the world with their many different stories from characters and creatures from different walks of life. The largest comic book market in the world is in Japan - over 1.5 billion mangas are sold every year. Several of these mangas get made into TV shows, shorts, and movies (we're waiting for your sequel Alita: Battle Angel 2!). Comics have been around forever dating back as far as 1842 - surprisingly enough, no, Superman was NOT the first comic (he wasn't published/created until the late 30s (1938 to be exact). The first comic book in the US was titled "The Adventures of Mr. Obadiah Oldbuck".
