This is big, loves. Ke$ha is back after four years with a new single that packs an emotional punch and a whole kegful of closure more satisfying than when the Last Unicorn beat the crap out of the Red Bull.

(Ke$ha is the unicorn and whatshisface is the bull, of course.)

The video for Praying begins with our girl looking beat-up, adrift on the wreckage, wondering if she's dead, wondering if she should die.

Not going to lie. It's a bit of a dagger to the heart.

But soon we see Ke$ha in all her glittery glory, playing a vintage piano and singing about how much she has gained from her experience.

Go Ke$ha, you beautiful disco angel!

And as she takes her worn and torn battle flag for a ruffled run in the sand, we realize this is more than a comeback.

It's a bruised and battered victory lap, with all of us cheering her on.

And we get the sense that we're witnessing the rebirth of an amazing new artist.

One with razor sharp claws, who claps back with lyrics like "You said that I was done. You were wrong and now the best is yet to come."

Full-disclosure: This morning when I heard about this video, I asked my office mate who that guy was: the one who'd tried to take our beautiful unicorn/angel/butterfly down.
He said "Doctor Somebody?"
I replied, "More like Doctor Nobody."
So let's just leave it at that. And let's watch this life-affirming video. Bust out the bourbon and the Kleenex, loves!

You're going to need them.
