Willy

Willy

Psychics? Bah! That's utter nonsense. Psychics are just a load of bull fed to little kids. No one else believes that. Anyone who thinks they're psychic is nuttier than Willy is!

A steadfast nonbeliever, you think that psychics are complete frauds, preying on the weak minded. You are very analytically minded, a believer in science. You'd say the fact that a young boy could figure that out proves that doing a "reading" is a simple guessing game.

In Angela J. Townsend's novel, you're Willy, the down-to-earth villager who has no fear of the island. Willy is one of the few people in town that doesn't fear the hauntings that purportedly go on at the lighthouse and the island. Why fear something that doesn't exist, right?

Janika

Janika

Psychics exist! Of course! There is little to no question in your mind about this. Either you've had first-hand experience, have psychic abilities yourself, or you are an individual with an open mind and an open heart.

In day to day life, you have your own set of skills that you try to use to help others. There's a definite tendency to overtax yourself, trying to do the best you can with what you have. You love learning more about this world, and the next, and you hope to use your openness to change the world for the better.

Your character is Janika, the young woman who claims to have powers in Angela J. Townsend's book and upcoming movie, The Forlorned! She hopes to use her "powers" to help others, despite any cost to herself.

Tom

Tom

Some are real, the rest... You see some psychic powers as real, either through first-hand experience or through some trusted source. However, you are well aware that many (if not most) are frauds.

As a person, you tend to be cautious, taking the time to find out more information before you put all faith in it. You check to see if the ice is solid before walking out onto a frozen lake. At the same time, you'll trust your senses. If you experience something firsthand, you'll believe it's true.

In the novel The Forlorned, you're Tom. Tom tries to think logically about the happenings that go on around him, but doesn't deny what he sees as proof.

Murph

Murph

Overall, you're a bit skeptical. You're not completely closed to the possibilities, but you're not going to hold your breath. It doesn't help that you've heard the stories about all the frauds and scams over the years.

You're not the kind to judge people for their beliefs. If they choose to believe something that you don't agree with, you don't see how that's any of your business. At the same time, you would be interested to see proof that something unexplainable doesn't have a rational explanation. A skeptical mind, but also a kind and inquisitive one.

In Angela J. Townsend's book, The Forlorned, you're Murphy, aka Murph. Murph likes to take care of people, and puts his stock in the here and now. He's more interested in a good bowl of chowder than a ghost story, but he won't turn down the offer of a well-spun tale, either.

Tough

Tough

You've seen proof the of psychic or other "unnatural" abilities, and it frightened you. You kind of wish you didn't know, or that there weren't such things, but there's no going back now.

As a person, you tend to be protective and a rather parental figure, perhaps even to some of your friends or acquaintances. You tend to put the needs of others before your own, and can be selfless to those closest to you. In general, you tend to have a thirst for knowledge, but sometimes you come across things that you wish you didn't know.

In Angela J. Townsend's book, The Forlorned, you're Tough. Tough is the father of Janika, who claims to have supernatural abilities. Tough wishes he could shield Janika from the fear and stress this puts on her. He's the type to shoulder the burdens of the world to keep them from crushing his nearest and dearest.
