No. 5 "Into the Woods: A Writer's Journey through Fairy Tales and Fantasy." By Terri Windling

Into the woods is an excellent source for the beginning fairy tale author, as it gives a scholory viewpoint of how fairy tales effect its readers. Windling's examines how fairy tales captivates an audience well into their adulthood as fairy tales are normally a topic that goes down for generations. Windling also explains and compares other critics idea of the unrealistic affect that fairy tales can have on children, as well reviewing those critics that enjoyed fairy tales and how it helped them create their own works of fiction.

How do we even begin telling a story? A fairy tale at that...Massi covers this daunting questions in her article, as she explains how and why these contemporary authors of fairy tales participate in the tradition of formally representing dynamics of storytelling in their tales. This journal is broken down into three parts, the who, what and how fairy tale stories are written.

No. 3 "Fairy tales" Kris Ackerman

On another "how to" of how to create fairy-tales, student Kris Ackerman explains in a prezi is the creation of fairy-tale stories. Like the scholarly article from Massi, Ackerman breaks down the “how” fairy-tale stories are created and the elements that are needed to bring that story to life.

No. 2 "History of Fairy tales" By Gigowens

While reading and writing fairy tales may be entertaining in itself, what are the origins of fairy tales? A Youtuber that goes by the handle Gigowens takes viewers back to the beginning of the start of fairy tales, and how they originated. Fair Warning though, some of the origins have a dark history. However, we're all about happy, happy, joy, joy over here.

No. 1 "How To Write A Children's Story - Top Ten Tips" By TheColouredScribbles

And for my personal favorite, and number one pick of how to write fairy tales, comes from a Youtuber that goes by the handle The Coloured Scribbles. While the previous mentions are showing you style and organization, what I personally love about Scribbles video is not only the "how to" aspect, but the video itself is a great setup for those who want to go outside the box and create an actual visual, and not just a pen to paper type book. The use of the music and the hand moving nicely colored pictures in and out of frame while explaining the how to would be the perfect way to tell a visual story. The execution is solid.
