Lisa Aldrich bought a cake at Meijers and asked an employee to write on it. Despite the messy handwriting, she thanked the girl and brought the cake over to the cashier. The cashiers first urged Lisa to get a new cake, but then one cashier informed her that “the girl who wrote that has Autism. Thank you for smiling and thanking her- even though she’s not supposed to write on cakes, you probably made her day.”
