Aaron Hernandez Found Dead After Committing Suicide In His Jail Cell; Is There More To This Story?

Hernandez, 27, was found dead in his jail cell Wednesday morning after committing suicide. Here is the official statement from the Massachusetts Department of Corrections:

According to the statement, Hernandez hanged himself using a bed sheet attached to his cell window. He also slammed the door shut with objects to stop guards from entering.

Hernandez was just last week acquitted for a double-murder from 2012, but is still currently serving a life sentence after being convicted for the 2015 murder of Odin Lloyd.

Hernandez death is currently being investigated and there could be more to the story. His ex-agent Brian Murphy told authorities "there is absolutely no chance Hernandez killed himself."
