Honestly, I haven’t been trying to think about it too much, because it just scares me a little bit, the idea that somebody could do that, so I feel moderately safe, just considering the people I‘m surrounded with but the news is always scary.

The likelihood of that happening in our school is very low and we live in a safe neighborhood.

I think less measurements need to be done on a school-wide basis and more on a national basis cause I don’t think we should be punishing the students for the act of violence, of like, adults actually. -Marisa Proia, Grade 11

I feel like it wouldn’t happen at this school and this school is safe but the fact that our doors are unlocked and we have our certain freedom and access in and out of the school, it’s very easy for something like that to happen.

I feel safe in this school. Yea, definitely the walkout shows that they really care about the students and it’s good that they’re letting us express ourselves and express that we feel safe.” -Ladriel Jordan, Grade 10

We have student ID’s and they all have barcodes on them so if we get like a system where we have to scan them when we come in that would be better or like if they lock the doors and we use the monitor to ask to come in I feel like that would be good
