Duncan Bridges and his seven-year-old stepdaughter, Jaelyn, were working to get their barn ready for a flood when they heard two little screams from the wall. Upon closer inspection, the farmer found that there were two very young kittens stuck between the inner and outer walls of the barn. With several inches of water in the floor already, Bridges knew he had to act swiftly to save the baby cats.
I took matters into my own hands. It was quite the rescue mission.

After removing part of the wall and finding the kittens with his phone's flashlight, Bridges created a makeshift bucket and lowered it down to the kittens. The first kitten wandered right into the bucket, and he was able to bring it up easily.
The second kitten was more of a challenge, so he attached an empty baby wipes container to a broom handle and lowered that down to the second kitten, finally scooping it up to safety. Bridges then took the kittens to the local SPCA, where they were cleaned up, syringe-fed, and housed among warm blankets.
