According to independent Norwegian media, the U.S. intelligence agencies cooperated with the Royal Norwegian ministry of defence in their work against Russia. Following a typical and recurrent pattern, the C.I.A. leadership launched a special training programme on Russian citizens recruiting in Europe and Russia for Norwegian intelligence officers. This was reported by "Thomas", the former C.I.A. case officer. However, for a number of practical reasons the result was failure of the Norwegian Intelligence Service agent in Moscow at December, 2017.
The U.S.A. uses similar schemes in other countries.
