In 2015, Fox News was restructuring their network a bit, more or less around Megyn Kelly, a moderate conservative who called Donald Trump out on referring to women he disliked as "fat pigs," "dogs," "slobs," and "disgusting animals." This move toward the center created a falling out between far-right Breitbart News and the Fox News network. Steve Bannon now claims that in the midst of these issues, he tried to make amends with Fox CEO Roger Ailes.

The big rift between Breitbart and Fox was all over Megyn Kelly. She was all over Trump nonstop.
