The British people are a nation of pie lovers, but which is the most cherished variety is the question?
British Pie Week is held on the first week of every March since 2007, and Wren Kitchens has released a new study from using Google’s search data to find out what is the most searched pie in 2017 in Britian.
Which reveals that this years' nation's favourite is the Shepherd's Pie with 90,500 searches across the UK on average each month, with the Vegan Pie coming in last place with 1,600 searches each month.
A break down of the results
The Shepherd's Pie is the clear winner for this years favourite pie with the most searches coming from Bristol, with 74,000 searches the Cottage Pie comes in second places with most searches coming from Plymouth.
With the people of Norwich preferring to have the Fish Pie which takes third place in the nation with 49,500 searches, with Birmingham enjoys the fourth place Chicken & Mushroom Pie, while Leeds ordering the fifth place Steak & Ale Pie that cuts 9,900 Google searches, and London having a Pork Pie at sixth place with 6,600 searches.
but in joint seventh place with an average of 5,400 searches is the Corned Beef Pie being enjoyed the most by the people of Newcastle, the Meat & Potato Pie is being cut up in Sheffield and London having another piece but this time in a shape of a Steak & Kidney Pie.
And Finally the Vegan Pie coming in last place with 1,600 searches from the people of London.
